Microbiological Kill Mechanism & Biofilm Penetration

CIT/MIT penetrates bacterial cell walls and reacts with cellular thiol groups (–SH), halting cellular respiration, synthesis of ATP, and cell division within minutes of dosing.

Because of its non-foaming nature and non-oxidizing mechanism, it does not corrode heat exchanger tubes and breaks through dense microbial slime matrices where chlorine cannot penetrate.
