How Polymaleic Acid Works
Crystal face adsorption
Binds to growing calcite crystal faces even at very high temperatures.
Lattice distortion
Distorts the crystal lattice so scale forms as a soft, fluffy, non-adherent sludge.
Blowdown removal
The non-adherent precipitate leaves the boiler through bottom blowdown.
